Disney Guests Unable to Make Reservations for Theme Parks

The Walt Disney World Holidays are locking out more and more guests as the days sell out at the theme parks.

Disney World Holidays Locking Out Guests

For those folks looking to have a bit of Holiday cheer this year at the Disney Parks in Florida, you might want to reconsider your planning. WDW is blocking guests from making reservations on specific days following numerous sellouts to particular days at Magic Kingdom Park.

Walt Disney World Resort comprises four parks: EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Right now, two different Holiday events are taking place inside of WDW.

First off, the new Disney Jollywood Nights is taking place inside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This limited-capacity, separately ticketed event will occur on ten select nights from November 11 to December 20, 2023. The event runs from 8:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m. Ticket prices range from $159–$179 per person, depending on the date. Ticket holders can enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios as early as 7 p.m. on the valid date of their ticket.

The event dates are:

November: 11, 18, 20, 27, 29
December: 4, 6, 16, 18, 20

Disney’s Hollywood Studios also has a seasonal feature called Sunset Seasons Greetings. This projection of lights and animations is themed towards the Western holiday season. It’s projected onto the show-building for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror on Sunset Boulevard.

The main Holiday event, however, is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a seasonal event at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Florida. It occurs on select nights from November 9 to December 22, 2023. The event runs from 7 p.m. to midnight. The party features:

A parade
Fireworks
Character meet-and-greets
Dance parties
Complimentary treat stations
Hot cocoa and cookies

The party requires a separate ticket for entry. Tickets cost between $169 and $199 for adults and $159 to $189 for children aged three to nine. Some attractions have unique overlays for the holidays. For example, the Jungle Cruise is known as the Jingle Cruise during this time. Other attractions that have holiday magic include:

Speedway
Teacups
Monsters in the glass floor
Space Mountain

The park closes at 6 p.m. for daytime guests without an event ticket. The event had over 15 dates still open for guests to make reservations, but as of yesterday afternoon, only five nights were left.

Industry insider and reporter Scott Gustin reported yesterday that Mickey’s Christmas Party only has five nights left before guests are locked out of the parks for good during this exclusive festive event.

As of last Friday, there were 16 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates still available. As of today, only 5 dates are available:
