Things at Disney are getting even more expensive, which may ice out more and more families from being able to financially afford their visit.

When it comes to planning a Disney vacation, the cost required to visit Walt Disney World Resort, or any Disney park has only grown over the past few years. Disney tickets to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort have constantly continued to grow, and now can cost up to $180 per person.
On top of that, after-hour event tickets like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party can jump up to $200 per person for just a few hours. Add on the price of a Disney resort, which can cost $700 per night easily if you are at a Deluxe resort, as well as the upcharge on food, drinks, and merchandise, and a $10,000 Disney vacation is in reach.

For many families, visiting Disney World is becoming nearly impossible, and now, it might become even harder.
Disneyland Paris is a magical destination with two enchanting theme parks – Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. At Disneyland Park, the Sleeping Beauty Castle serves as a central landmark and hosts captivating walkthrough experiences. HyperSpace Mountain offers a thrilling roller coaster journey through outer space, while Phantom Manor provides a unique and darker version of the classic Haunted Mansion experience. Pirates of the Caribbean takes visitors on a boat ride through pirate-infested waters, and Big Thunder Mountain offers a wild ride through the mining town of Thunder Mesa.

Over at Walt Disney Studios Park, Ratatouille: The Adventure shrinks guests down to the size of Remy for a 4D dark ride through Gusteau’s restaurant. Crush’s Coaster whisks riders through the East Australian Current with characters from Finding Nemo. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror provides an eerie drop tower experience, and Toy Story Playland immerses guests in the world of Toy Story with various attractions. Mickey and the Magician, a live stage show in the Animagique Theater, features Mickey Mouse and other beloved characters in a magical performance, and Pixar’s Together brings to life all of your favorite Pixar films in an incredibly unique way.

While all of these offerings are magical in their own right, visiting Disneyland Paris can be costly, and now, is getting more expensive.
DLP Report (@DLPReport) shared that there have been food increases across the board at Disneyland Paris.
More food price increases, obvious or hidden, at Disneyland Paris:
– Quick Service Restaurant menus are up €1 across the board
– Many Quick Service A La Carte dishes are down €1, but they no longer come with a side, which must now be added on top for €3.50 to €4.30 💰

Overall, these price increases are certainly driving up the cost for those vacationing. The interesting thing here is that Disney is increasing food costs just as they have asked guests to leave the park if they are looking to save money.
Disneyland Paris Resort is currently undergoing a lot of construction and will soon be closing down a major part of one of their theme parks. Walt Disney Studios Park is undergoing many changes. Not only is World of Arendelle and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge being added in, but the park will soon cut off access to Studio 1, aka the entrance with a majority of the shops and quick service locations for a year.

Studio 1 is an indoor area that is meant to look like multiple movie sets but acts as a sort of “Main Street”. Now, with construction getting ready to shut the place down, Disney has warned guests that they should leave the park if they want more economical food costs, as a long of the remaining locations will be table service, which are more costly.
There are a few quick services and à la carte locations, but now, it seems that Disney is looking to increase even those, and, theoretically, price out many of their guests.
As we have mentioned earlier, price hikes on food and drink is something we have seen happen with all of the Disney parks, so it is not terribly shocking to see another rise in cost for Disneyland Paris. We have also heard Disney comment on food portions over the past few years, as they have looked to limit their servings to benefit guest waistlines.
Overall, there is certainly a trend in place which causes Disney to give less and charge more in order to increase their bottom line.
Do you think that visiting Disney World, or any Disney park is too costly?
