One of the oddest things superhero movies have been using CGI for is to amplify the characters’ body parts on screen. It has now been revealed that DC attempted to fix The Flash by doing just that and using CGI effects to give Ezra Miller a bigger posterior.

We imagine that making sure a character looks good on screen is a massive job in and of itself. The actors often have to engage in wild workout regiments to ensure they are in proper shape to fit into their given superhero duds. Then there are actors like Henry Cavill, who went above and beyond to look fit while portraying Superman. The man was ridiculously buff in and out of his suit.

It takes a lot to look good on screen, and that is something that most directors pride themselves on accomplishing in their given projects. However, certain tricks are used to make sure characters look menacing or intimidating. For instance, Tom Hardy portrayed Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, but it has long been reported that CGI was used to make sure he looked even larger.

Though no one generally questions these effects, as they are used to showcase the “super” nature of superheroes, some head-scratching moves are often made, such as giving Ezra Miller an enormous butt.

Ezra Miller Given Huge Butt in ‘The Flash’

Per @NebsGoodTakes

They actually did CGI Ezra Miller’s a** in The Flash

The Twitter (X) account of Neb showcased a side-by-side comparison of a scene from The Flash, where Barry Allen (Ezra Miller), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), and Batman (Ben Affleck) are on a bridge together. While the behind-the-scenes shot showcases how they look in front of the green screen, it also showcases Miller having a far looser fitting costume.

The shot below showcases these exact scenes in all their CGI glory, including portraying Miller’s backside as far more prominent. We don’t think fans would have noticed if Miller’s costume was a bit loose-fitting, so it is a bit stranger that CGI effects were used on his butt in this manner.

Then again, rabid fans online quickly call out any suspect CGI when shown in big properties. We would argue that the bigger CGI blunder of the film was bringing back Christopher Reeve, but that is an entirely different conversation.

This is also not the first time CGI tools were reportedly used on the backside of a star in a film. Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard was also subject to an odd situation in which her posterior was altered to look far smaller in a poster for Jurassic World Dominion. This was later debunked, but it got a ton of attention online.

The Flash behind-the-scenes photo and Miller in the movie might also be debunked, but it was just released on streaming and home video. This one might be the real deal.

Again, we understand that it is the job of the VFX artists to ensure that a movie looks as great as possible, but enhancing an actor’s butt is just bizarre.

The time spent enhancing Miller’s butt could have been used to ensure that the movie was in a better place storywise. Not only was The Flash a complete bomb at the box office, but the current Max streaming numbers are also not that impressive. It has been reported that The Flash has fewer streaming numbers on Max than Black Adam did when it was released.

However you feel about The Flash, it appears that the film’s CGI team was deadset on ensuring Miller looked good in their suit, which included portraying a much larger backside.
