If there’s anything not magical about a vacation at Walt Disney World, it’s the amount of walking Guests do around the Parks each day. Thousands of steps and miles of circles walked in the hot Florida sun, and it’s an entire cardio workout itself.

However, Walt Disney World just announced they would be providing actual fitness offerings to Guests looking for more of a workout during their trip. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is offering a dance session set to music from and inspired by The Lion King in their Lion King area and state that the activity is open to Guests of all ages. In addition to this, a selection of Resorts also have on-demand wellness videos featuring Mickey Mouse, including stretching, sleeping, and healthy eating. For the older Guests, there’s also a mindfulness video inspired by Star Wars.

Several of the DVC Resorts, including Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village, and Disney’s Old Key West Resort, offer pickleball or tennis to Guests and provide equipment free of charge for those wanting to play. Disney’s Yacht Club, Beach Club, and BoardWalk Resorts also offer a walking/running trail around Crescent Lake and several of the other Resorts have similar trails that either lead to the Parks, other Resorts, or even to Disney Springs!

Disney’s All-Star Resorts feature a wellness scavenger hunt challenge, where Guests can take a map from the front desk and make their way around All-Star Sports, Music, and Movies to explore the property, solve clues, and complete fitness challenges. Once completed, Guests can pick up a complimentary button from any merchandise location to celebration their victory.

While most Guests go to Disney to relax and eat Mickey pretzels and churros, for those who have an extra day or are wanting to explore the Walt Disney World Resort without being in the Parks all day, these offerings are a great option.
