The New shopDisney Dapper Dan Dress
The Disney Dress shop has been cooking up retro-directed fashions for a few years now, even inspiring other companies like Loungefly to lines like the Stitch Shoppe. While not every design has been a home run (fans despise the new Jessica Rabbit dress) the latest warm-weather creation to come from Disney is quite… dapper. The sundress is inspired by the barbershop quartet, the Dapper Dans, often spotted harmonizing around Main Street U.S.A. in both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom.
The new look is created in honor of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort and features a sleeveless, v-neck design. The multicolor striped print elongates the body and has a tossed print pattern of straw boater hats and music notes. shopDisney describes the Disney Parks Dapper Dans dress by telling us to, “turn back the clock to the golden era of Main Street U.S.A. in this nostalgic mid-century-styled sundress with multicolor candy-striped pattern with straw hats and music notes. Its button front, v-neckline, and gathered knee-length skirt harmonize like a barbershop quartet in summer.”

Slip into this little fashion via a side zipper, though the button-front design is on the center seam. The gathered skirt adds swish and spin, but isn’t gored to create the twirl dress this number might deserve! Like other offerings from The Disney Dress Shop, the Dapper Dans dress is priced high, at $128.00, and is offered at shopDisney, though we did not see this style for sale in April at Walt Disney World Resort.
