At Walt Disney World Resort, we have seen a gradual increase when it comes to the theme park’s return to normalcy. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a lot of operations have had to change.

We have seen Disney alter their mask mandates in accordance with the ongoing COVID-19 case positivity rates, and although Park capacity is seemingly increasing, entertainment has been one of the slowest to return.

Although shows like Beauty and the Beast, Harmonious, and Disney Enchantment have returned, we are still waiting on others such as Fantasmic!, Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire, and parades like Festival of Fantasy. All three are set to return at some point this year. Luckily, we have seen meet and greets come back in a new way.

Although you cannot go up and hug Rapunzel, you can visit her once again at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom! Many of the princesses are once again conducting “meet and greets” which are now deemed as character sightings. Unlike a few months ago, Guests are now lining up to meet the Disney character of their choice and having a specific one-on-one interaction with them. Prior to this, characters would just to a general greet to crowds from a distance.

Now, Disney is hiring more princesses! So if you are between the height range of 5’3” – 5’7” and have dreamed of being friends with Anna, Elsa, or Belle, this is your moment! Disney is currently hiring for the three princesses, which makes us believe that they may be needed more characters around the park shortly! With meet and greets being conducted and shows and parades soon returning to Magic Kingdom alone, it looks like Disney is bringing back their workforce and hiring new Cast Members to join the entertainment team!
