If you want to meet all of your favorite Disney princesses on your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort, you can! But only if you make it there on time!
Recently, we have seen Princess Fairytale Hall reopen at Magic Kingdom, and as of today, the location is officially open in terms of hours of operations appearing on the schedule. Since the parks reopened during the pandemic, we have not been able to meet characters. Characters would still appear around the Park, but at a bigger distance, and there would be no line or individual interactions aside from a wave and perhaps a few words.
Now, Cinderella, Elena, Rapunzel, and Tiana are all back at Magic Kingdom in their old home, giving Guests a much more intimate interaction. Meet and greets seem to be a past term, as Disney has titled these new moments character “sightings.” This is due to the fact that the interactions between the Guests and characters are still not yet back to normal. Social distancing is still in place, so Guests cannot get close to the characters and must still take socially distanced photos. However, masks are still required for Guests while indoors; princesses will not be wearing them.
Guests at Magic Kingdom can also meet Mickey Mouse in Town Square Theater. When visiting Mickey, you will be able to see the primary mouse himself until 8:30 p.m. as of the current schedule; however, the princesses will be wrapping up their day at 5:30 p.m.! With the Park being opened for hours after Princess Fairytale Hall closes, it will be necessary for those Guests who want to meet the princesses to ensure that they prioritize that.
There is, of course, a possibility that we will see Disney extend the hours that Princess Fairytale Hall will operate, but as of now, it seems that meeting the princesses will not be an evening event. In the past, we have also seen the wait times for Princess Fairytale Hall grow quite long, so be sure to keep an eye on your My Disney Experience app throughout the day.
