The attractions are some of the most coveted things that Guests can experience, as many of them are different than any of the rides you can find at your local theme park. For example, you may have a flume ride at your local Park, but it likely does not have hundreds of singing animatronics. Plus, attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean are rarely found outside of Disney. Because of this, many Guests expect Disney to have one-of-a-kind attractions for the most part.

We have seen attractions such as “it’s a small world” copied by other Parks in the past in their own way, but it seems that there is a Disney coaster that has a matching twin in the Netherlands. Xpress Platform 13 is located in Walibi Holland. The coaster is located in the theme park’s “Main Street” and opened initially as a Superman coaster in 2000, but was renamed to Xpress Platform 13 in 2005.

The coaster track is actually precisely the same as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, which would have debuted one year earlier in 1999. The big difference here is that one coaster is outdoors without much theming (it is an abandoned transit station), and the other is an indoor Hollywood highway.

The Mouselets (@TheMouselets) shared some of the attractions story in a recent TikTok which you can check out below!

Even if the coaster tracks are the same, the theming ultimately differentiates the two. Plus, for those who have ridden Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in the past, know that the ride is actually quite short and the glow-in-the-dark theming and music is what gives the Disney version of this attraction a popular standing.

You can look at a POV of the coaster in Coaster Force’s YouTube video below:

At the moment, Xpress Platform 13 is seemingly temporarily closed, so Disney World Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are the only people experiencing the coaster.

The coaster is described as:

An abandoned underground station in New York. The platform was closed years ago and is not accessible to anyone. Some curious journalists have tried to reach the platform, but have never returned. Do you dare enter the ghost platform of Platform 13?

Xpress: Platform 13 is a real speed demon. With excitement you’re waiting for what’s to come and then… out of nowhere you’ll be launched. Within 3 seconds you reach a speed of 90 km/h!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith just saw a recent refurbishment to the exterior of the attraction, as well.
