One of the most exciting upcoming rides coming to Walt Disney World is the highly-anticipated TRON Lightcycle / Run roller coaster.
Recently, a few lucky Guests got stuck on Tomorrowland’s Peoplemover, getting an incredible sneak peek at the work being done on the new TRON Lightcycle / Run roller coaster. Disney Parks Live (@disneyparksdiy) posted the video on TikTok:

Announced back in 2017, the upcoming TRON Lightcycle / Run coaster is seemingly a copy of Shanghai Disneyland’s version based on Tron: Legacy (2010), Disney’s “soft reboot” of the Tron series complete with a killer soundtrack by Daft Punk. While progress is being made every day for the brand new TRON Lightcycle / Run coaster coming to Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland, there are quite a lot of doubts that it will open anytime soon.
As shown in the TikTok, TRON Lightcycle / Run looks to be coming together quite nicely. We have covered updates to this ride many times, and you can be sure to check back on Inside the Magic for more in the future. There is not a solid opening date set for the ride yet, but most reports point to a late 2022 release, and one can only hope the new coaster will feature some of that amazing music from Daft Punk while riding.
