Walt Disney World Resort’s Candlelight Processional is making a comeback this holiday season. With the COVID pandemic in 2020, we greatly missed the fan-favorite EPCOT experience of the retelling of the Christmas story. When Disney first announced the return of the Candlelight Processional, a few names were listed for the narrator lineup. Fans quickly noticed the favorite narrator, Neil Patrick Harris, was missing from the list. Now, Disney has revealed the full lineup of narrators and Neil is nowhere to be found!
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will kick off on November 26, 2021, and will last through December 30. This is always an especially fantastic time to visit the Park to check out all the decorations, listen to the holiday storytellers, and stroll the World Showcase for all those tasty treats and sips.
One of our favorite ways to spend an evening at EPCOT during the holidays is with a performance of the Candlelight Processional at America Gardens Theatre. Disney has noted, “This year, the incomparable Voices of Liberty will form a living Christmas tree at center stage, flanked on either side by a choir of Disney Cast Members pouring their hearts into every song. And there’s nothing quite like having those songs played by a full orchestra and hearing the traditional Christmas story told by a celebrity narrator.”
The full lineup of narrators for 2021’s Candlelight Processional includes a great list of actors, singers, television hosts, and even Disney princesses, BUT… it’s missing Disney fan-favorite host, Neil Patrick Harris! Neil was a celebrity narrator at the last Candlelight Processional in 2019 (December 2-5) as well as years past. He was such a Guest favorite that Disney even used Neil Patrick Harris’ Candlelight Processional performance in a film they live-streamed in 2019 and released again in 2020 when COVID closed the processional.
Disney Park Twitter announced, “It’s almost time for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Presented by AdventHealth! This year’s lineup of celebrity narrators for Candlelight Processional includes award-winning actors, singers, television hosts, and two Disney princesses!” Here’s the full list of narrators below:

EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional is described with, “Each night, a celebrity narrator tells the story of Christmas, recounting the biblical tale of a savior born in Bethlehem. Woven into the production are stirring songs of hope and joy performed by the orchestra and massed choir.” The presentation is extremely popular so plan to arrive early for the best chance at finding a seat. EPCOT Candlelight Processional Dining Package is normally the best way to go, but it sold out quickly this year.
