Exciting news is coming from Disney+ as it has been announced that they have acquired the international rights to the The Hardy Boys!

Disney+ has bought the international rights to The Hardy Boys series which streams on Hulu from Nelvana. The series will be distributed to select international locations and will find a home on Star except for Latin America, where the series will be found on Disney+.

The Hardy Boys will be released to international Disney+ audiences with the first two seasons. Season 1 is already available for subscribers to watch and Season 2 has recently completed filming and is slated to premiere on the platform in 2022. If you are a U.S. resident, you can stream the series on Hulu.

The Hardy Boys series follows the novels of the same name written by author Franklin W. Dixon in 1927, although the novels have been constantly updated to keep up with the times to keep readers engaged. The current series is following a modernized version of the novels and aged the boys as teenagers.

After a family tragedy strikes, Frank Hardy and his brother Joe are forced to move from the big city to their parent’s hometown of Bridgeport for the summer. Realizing that their Dad may be onto something the boys take it upon themselves to start an investigation of their own, and suddenly everyone in town is a suspect

The cast of The Hardy Boys include Alexander Elliot (Joe Hardy), Rohan Campbell (Frank Hardy), Adam Swain, Janet Porter, Keyana Lyn, Atticus Mitchell, Riley O’Donnell, Bea Santos, and Christian Perri.

In Variety‘s article announcing the news, head of Nelvana Enterprises Mellany Masterson stated:

Disney+ is continuously working on its international reputation. The series will be a great addition the the international market and will be enjoyed by many viewers looking for a little adventure.
