When Disneyland Resort was finally able to reopen its theme parks after a more than year-long closure, it announced that all Guests visiting the Parks would need a reservation to enter. This reservation requirement remained in place when the new Annual Pass program — now called the Magic Key Pass Program — and all Magic Key Holders have a certain number of reservations they can hold at one time, depending on the level of their Magic Key.
The top-tier Disneyland Resort Magic Key is the Dream Key. The Dream Key has no theme park blockout dates, and Dream Key Holders are allowed to hold up to six reservations at one time. While that seems like a really great deal for those Guests who frequently visit the Parks, Dream Key Holders — are finding themselves unable to make the reservations they thought they would have access to.
Guests can make Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park reservations up to 90 days in advance. Unfortunately, Dream Key Holders currently find themselves unable to make weekend Disneyland Park reservations until late December. Weekday reservations are still available, but the only theme park that can be reserved on any weekend until December 19 is for California Adventure.
You can see the unavailable dates via the Disneyland Resort reservation calendar below.
As you can see, every day for the next two weeks is completely unavailable for reservations at either Disneyland or California Adventure. After that, Disneyland Park reservations are only available on weekdays until late December.
It is important to remember that just because there are no reservations currently available, that does not mean that more will not open up. Disney has a certain number of reservations set aside for Magic Key Holders and a certain number set aside for regular ticket holders for each day. If there are still a lot of regular ticket reservations left at the last minute, there is a high probability that Disneyland Resort will open more reservations up to Magic Key Holders.
It should also be noted that just because Magic Key Holders can’t make Disneyland Park reservations, that doesn’t mean that they won’t be able to go to Disneyland at all. All Magic Key passes are Park Hopper passes, so that means that even if Key Holders start at California Adventure, they can head over to Disneyland starting at 1 p.m. — as long as capacity has not been reached.
If you would like to book a reservation for Disneyland but the day that you want is booked, it is important to check back every day in the chance that more reservations become available.
