Disney World fans cannot wait for the day they can take off on TRON Lightcycle / Run and as Disney Imagineers continue to work on the upcoming Tomorrowland roller coaster, we have another construction update for you.
Not long ago, we reported that the blue netting was being installed at the canopy of TRON Lightcycle / Run. Now, on a recent visit to Magic Kingdom, we are seeing the construction crew continuing to work on the upcoming ride as more aspects begin taking shape.
While riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover earlier this week, we got a closer look at workers on the site of TRON Lightcycle / Run. In the photos above and below, you can see construction vehicles and workers moving at lightning speed to try and complete this project.
We spotted the construction crew moving around and working on different aspects of the upcoming ride, which at this time, still does not have an opening date.
We do want to note that the installation of the blue netting seen in these images will not be how it will look once the ride is complete.
Again, at this time, we do not have an opening date for TRON Lightcycle / Run, but Inside the Magic will update you as we get information.
Disney Parks Blog describes the upcoming Magic Kingdom coaster as:
TRON Lightcycle / Run is a coaster-style attraction that will allow riders to board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles for a thrilling race through the digital frontier. A similar attraction exists at Shanghai Disneyland, where it opened in 2016, and became an instant guest-favorite.
