Space 220 has been one of the most highly anticipated dining experiences at EPCOT that Guests have been waiting for, for well over a year! Now, on September 20 (which is very fitting, I must say), Guests can finally dine at the restaurant. Imagineer Zach Riddley (@thezachriddley) took to Instagram to post the opening date and share a new video of the restaurant located in Walt Disney World Resort.
Get ready for and out-of-this-world experience at EPCOT, Space 220 is opening on September 20th! 🚀

Space 220 was originally set to open back in 2020, before the pandemic, but like many projects at Disney, the opening date was pushed back. Lately, we have been learning a lot more details when it comes to the dining location, making us both hungry and excited to see what Disney and their Imagineering team were able to create.
Disney Parks Blog (@disneyparksblog) also shared the same information. As they noted, Space 220 will be available for Guests to enjoy prior to the 50th anniversary beginning, which is perfect timing! EPCOT will not only have Space 220 as a new offering, but Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Harmonious, and the newly reimagined Spaceship Earth beacons of light!

In both announcements, there was no mention of dining reservations opening up, and when looking on the My Disney Experience app, it does not seem that Guests can make a reservation just yet. Disney has been doing a lot of food-based updates on Disney Parks Blog lately as more dining locations reopen from the pandemic closure. Therefore, we will likely receive an update as soon as a reservation date is revealed. Once it is, be sure to act quickly as reservations for this experience will surely fly!
