The Orange County Sheriff’s Office recently disclosed that a woman was arrested at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure theme park after getting into a fight with another parkgoer while in line for the VelociCoaster roller coaster.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, on July 9, Shaeika Allen, 28, was arrested for battery after throwing punches at two other parkgoers outside of the VelociCoaster attraction after being cut in line having a drink spilled on her.
“Police said that the officer spoke with the victim of the altercation, Misty Ownbey, 19, at the park’s first aid office. She reportedly told police that she was with her brother, Matthew Ownbey, in the Velocicoaster area. Matthew proceeded to cut under the queue line rope to get into line with his sister.”
“However, the affidavit says at this point, a woman named Shaeika Allen, 28, and her niece were with their family in line and behind Misty. When Matthew went under the rope, his drink spilled out of his backpack and onto Shaeika.”

The incident occurred in July, the day before the official grand opening of the new Jurassic World-themed ride.
The police reported went on to state that Misty, the sister of the gentleman trying to catch up in line, was struck in the face by Shaeika after Park Guest Matthew Ownbey attempted to diffuse the situation.
The victim, 19-year old Misty Ownbey, told police officials that her brother tried to cut under the queue rope to catch up to her. While doing so, her brother accidentally spilled a drink from his backpack onto Allen and her niece, who were behind them in line.

Fox 35 Orlando went on to state:
“Surveillance video obtained by the responding Orlando police officer is said to have confirmed that an argument occurred between the party. The niece walked up to Misty and shoved her in the chest area. Matthew attempted to intervene and keep the two from fighting. Meanwhile, Shaeika threw multiple fists and one of them struck Misty in the face.”
“Misty suffered a laceration to the face along with bruising, the affidavit said. The injury needs stitches or glue and will leave permanent scarring or disfigurement.”
The police report confirmed that Allen’s niece was “the primary aggressor to the incident for the first physical shove. Allen furthered the incident by thrown closed first strikes causing injury,” according to Orange County Police.
Shortly after the incident, Allen began walking towards the exit of Islands of Adventure when police stopped her.
She was then arrested and taken to Orange County Jail. According to Orange Circuit Court online records, Allen, who is reportedly remaining quiet on the matter, does not have a defense attorney listed and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on a misdemeanor battery charge.
