If you are looking forward to seeing what will take over the NBA Experience at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort, it seems that you may find out sooner than expected.

Recently, we reported that the NBA Experience in Disney Springs would be closing. The location took over DisneyQuest, and after extensive construction needed to transform the space, the NBA Experience was open to Guests for only a few months before shutting its doors due to the pandemic and never reopening them again.
At the moment, Disney has not released any details about what will take over the NBA Experience. However, Disney Guests have already exclaimed their desire for DisneyQuest’s return, Disney-themed escape rooms, and other unique entertainment offerings that Guests can participate in while visiting.

Because the news of the NBA Experience’s closure has come so suddenly, many may not have expected construction to begin immediately on the building, but it has! Bioreconstruct has snapped some photos of ongoing changes on the NBA Experience facade.
As mentioned below, the video screen is now dark, and the signage is now removed from the building, erasing any last remnants of the NBA Experience from Disney Springs.

Of course, since the NBA Experience is officially not returning, removing the signage is a good call on Disney’s part, especially before the 50th anniversary begins at Walt Disney World Resort. With so many Guests traveling into the Disney bubble, many may not know what the NBA Experience was and would be surprised to see the doors locked. By removing the signage, Disney inevitably prevents future confusion.

There is also a chance that Disney already knows what will fill the now-empty location next, and is beginning the process of rebranding the building. Again, that is purely speculation as nothing has yet been said or confirmed.
