Today Disney released a ship-load of information to Guests regarding the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, and it seems that it will be a truly unforgettable experience for all Guests on board.
Guests will be able to dress up as their own Star Wars character if they would like, will complete missions, meet other characters from the franchise, and will have set itineraries. We have also seen pricing released for the hotel and had our first look inside the Halcyon!
The experience is set up much like a traditional cruise ship itinerary, as Guests must board and depart on certain dates, and now, we can confirm that some dining will likely take cues from cruise ships as well. When on Disney Cruise Line, there may be times that you are sitting at a table with another party, and that is exactly what will happen on the Starcruiser.
The Crown of Corellia seems to be the main dining location on the ship, which will serve all three meals, with dinner being a more interactive and multi-course experience. Disney has described the dining location as:
The enticing supper club’s name is an homage to Corellia, the planet known galaxy-wide for its shipyards that gave us not only the Halcyon starcruiser, but also the Millennium Falcon. The dining room is a bright and welcoming hall that will offer breakfast and lunch to passengers before transitioning each evening into a lavish multi-course menu of both otherworldly and familiar origins.
Disney has also noted that there will be a Captain’s Table dining experience that Guests can add-on to their package, and it seems both dining options will involve sharing a table with another party you may not know.
On the Disney World website, when asked if Guests will have to dine at the same table as others, it notes:
You are likely to be seated at a table with other Guests in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. If you add on the Captain’s Table experience, you will be seated with other Guests.
It seems that the Crown of Corellia dining may, at times, allow for Guests to sit alone, depending on how crowded the dining area is. Also, depending on the size of your party, you may have an entire table to yourselves.
Captain’s Table, on the other hand, will have you seated with other Guests. If you plan to visit the luxury starliner once it opens, Disney has announced that the Resort will be opening in spring 2022.
How do you feel about sharing a table with others during every meal aboard the Galactic Starcruiser?
