Disneyland Resort Annual Passes — which have been reimagined and are now known as Magic Key Passes — are on sale again, months after the Annual Passport program ended in January 2021. But this week, we are continuing to see incredibly low wait times for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Attractions!
So, what are the Disneyland wait times today? Keep reading to find out!
As of today, August 25, 2021, you can purchase a Magic Key Pass (AKA an Annual Pass) directly on the Disneyland app or on the Disneyland Resort official website. These passes will allow Guests to visit the theme parks several times per year (and, for Dream Key holders, unlimited times per year!). Still, today, on the day that Magic Key Passes have officially launched, we are seeing some magically low wait times at the Disneyland Resort theme parks.
Of course, many fans expect wait times to increase once Magic Key holders are visiting the theme parks. After all, you get so much more value out of an Annual Pass than you do purchasing an individual theme park ticket every time you want to visit!
With Magic Key holders, AKA Passholders, visiting the theme parks once again, we will likely see an increase in wait times. However, today, we are still seeing those low wait times we’ve been seeing over the past few weeks of this summer at the Disneyland Resort in California. However, back-to-school season is upon us, which means fewer families visiting the Parks mid-week.
Just take a look at our screenshots below from the Disneyland app on mid-morning on August 25. Many attractions are only a 5-15 minute wait, and even the most popular rides — like the Matterhorn Bobsleds in Fantasyland, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in Avengers Campus, or Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — aren’t too bad!
The reintroduction of an Annual Pass program at the Disneyland Resort comes at the perfect time, as the theme parks will begin their Halloween Time season on September 3. Oogie Boogie Bash also officially begins during the second week of September, and that special event at California Adventure will certainly bring spooks and smiles.
Disney hasn’t yet shared specific details about what’s happening for the holiday season — typically running from early/mid-November to early January — but we’ll share more details as they become available.
