Wait Times SHOCKINGLY Low at This Disney World Park Today

in Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World has had long wait times recently as summer crowds have officially arrived at the theme parks. And with these large crowds, as well as an increase in capacity at Disney World, it’s clear that wait times have also increased.

However, when we checked My Disney Experience this morning (August 8), it seems as though wait times at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are decently low (for now).

In the screenshot below, you can see that within the first hour that Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened, several attractions have a 15-minute wait or less! This is pretty uncommon as rides such as Na’vi River Journey, Expedition Everest, and Kilimanjaro Safaris tend to draw long lines.

Though, we do want to note that Avatar Flight of Passage is sitting at a 110-minute wait, which is pretty normal for this E-ticket attraction.

This screenshot was taken at approximately 8:40 a.m., which is just 40 minutes after Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened to the public. Because of this, we do expect that wait times will grow throughout the day and for the most up-to-date information, make sure you download the My Disney Experience app to your smartphone.

Additionally, Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirmed that the theme parks — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom — have already started increasing capacity once again, which could result in longer wait times at select attractions.

At this time, we do not know exactly what percentage of capacity Disney World is operating at, but we know it is higher than 35%.
