It may still be summer, but it is never too early to think about the most wonderful time of the year — Christmas! Thinking about the cooler temps and the peppermint ice cream, the lights, the great music, and the festive atmosphere is enough to get anyone in the holiday spirit.

And to celebrate the upcoming season, Disney is releasing a ton of exciting news on Christmas returning to Disney.

While there will be a lot of offerings happening at Disney Parks around the world, there will also be magical sailing festivities happening onboard Disney cruises as well!

Very Merrytime Cruises will return to the Disney Magic, Disney Dream, Disney Wonder, and Disney Fantasy this Christmas — if Disney Cruises set sail by then. These events happen every year from November through December, so should Disney Cruise Line resume sailings by then, we can expect these events to return!

The Disney Wish will also offer Christmas itineraries when it sets sail next year.

Disney Parks Blog shared some more information on the fun holiday offerings that will typically take place on the Disney Cruise Line:

From early November through December, the Disney Cruise Line fleet is decked from bow-to-stern with holiday cheer and entertainment during Very Merrytime Cruises. Holiday magic is unwrapped for the whole family with festive holiday decor, favorite characters in their finest holiday attire and a special visit from none other than Santa Claus.

Guests aboard select Disney Cruises will also be taken to Disney’s own private island, Castaway Cay, which also typically has a holiday feel blended in with the palm trees:

But even though you may be in the Bahamas, this slice of paradise is decked for the holidays as well – with a tropical flair, of course! A massive Christmas tree, holiday island music and even “snow” flurries await your family, guaranteeing that the only “blue” you’ll be feeling this holiday season is the color of the crystal-clear waters!

It is important to note that Disney Cruise Line has not confirmed that cruises will once again return to the U.S. since they had to shut down due to the pandemic. Disney was preparing to launch a test cruise out of Port Canaveral, Florida, but it was postponed. However, 2021 Christmas itineraries are available via the Disney Cruise Line website. Guests who are optimistic about the return of sailings and would like to book a Christmas Disney Cruise can do so, but there is no guarantee that they will happen at this time.

You can take a look at all the Christmas sailing itineraries available by clicking here and visiting the Disney Cruise Line website!
