Yo ho ho, and….an Airbnb?
If there is one thing that Disney fans love to do, it’s show their love for the House of Mouse in their daily lives. From adorable pillows and blankets to amazing Disney artwork to displaying their favorite collectibles. However, there are some fans for whom simple decorations are not enough, they want to feel fully immersed in the magic, so they go all out and create their own Disney-fied space.
Located just an hour from Disneyland, right on the edge of the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains, lies Topanga Canyon. It is here where Airbnb host Darrell has created his own enchanting Disney-themed getaway. And it is absolutely perfect for anyone who loves the Pirates of the Caribbean at the Disney Parks.
The cottage space has been fully transformed into the ultimate Pirates of the Caribbean lover’s fantasy — from the lighting to plant lift to the amazing decorations, there is no way you won’t feel like Jack Sparrow is about to walk through your door and offer you a bottle of rum (pro-tip: stay away from any gold coins he may show you).
The Airbnb host Darrell has called the cottage the “Pirates of the Caribbean Getaway” and here is the official description of the fun property:
Come relax up in Topanga & get away! 1 Bedroom Guest House located in the Heart of the canyon for nightly & weekly rentals! The entire property has waterfalls, ponds & a tropical themed environment. The guest house has 1 queen sized bed & can accommodate a maximum of two guests comfortably. There is also a kitchenette with mini fridge, stovetop, keurig coffee maker, dishes/pots/pans, condiments, oil, seasons & washer/dryer on site (the washer/dryer is for stays of 5+ days). Unit does not have A/C, but has ceiling fans in the bedroom, along with sliding glass & screen doors in each room allowing for ventilation.
What makes this property truly spectacular is that Darrell didn’t simply copy the films or the attractions that can be found at multiple Disney theme parks. Instead, he took inspiration from the films, rides, and theme park lands and became his own set designer to transform an already beautiful cottage into something fantastical and transformative.

Another major plus for staying on this property is that no FastPass is needed to enjoy the experience! The cost for this idyllic retreat is only $209 per night, which is quite a deal for something this amazing! Darrell is also considered a “Superhost”, meaning that he has extremely high ratings and reviews, so you know that a great time is sure to be had!
