The Disney Parks have always been known and seen as a magical place where dreams come true.
From Cast Members always going the extra mile to ensure Guests are having a fantastic day, to the detail each park possesses, to the immersive attractions, delicious smells, captivating music, and more — Disney knows what they are doing when it comes to creating a special day for Guests.
Sometimes, Guests visiting Disney will be able to have a magical moment created for them. Typically, when this happens, a Cast Member takes special steps to ensure a Guest is accommodated or creates an individualized experience that enhances their theme park day. From getting a free Mickey Premium Bar to a PhotoPass photographer capturing an engagement and snapping all the right pictures, there are lots of ways Cast Members can make your day special.
At Disneyland, there was an instance where a deaf child went to meet the characters, and to the child’s surprise, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse knew how to sign language!
Buitengebieden (@buitengebieden_) took to Twitter to post the video, and personally, I am having a tough time getting through this article due to the tears that continuously fill my eyes!

When the video begins, you can see the little boy signing to Pluto. Considering Pluto has paws, it was a little harder for him to sign back to the tiny Guest. We then can see the Cast Member turn the boy’s attention to Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who are signing toward the Guest!
We are not sure if Mickey and Minnie already knew some sign language, but from the video, it seems that there may have been someone out of frame guiding the two characters so that they could interact with the child. The little boy instantly goes into hug our favorite mice, and it is clear that this small moment makes his day even more special than any attraction or show ever could.
The video is highly emotional and from the comments, has clearly caused tears for many who have seen it.
Since character interactions are currently being done from a distance due to the ongoing pandemic, this video is clearly not recent; however, it does show the lengths that Cast Members will take to uphold the magic of Disney.
