A Guide to Disney’s 2021 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

in Food, Walt Disney World

Last year, Disney modified the annual EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival due to the ongoing pandemic. In fact, when COVID-19 hit, Disney World had to adapt to operating as safely as possible. One of these changes included introducing the “Taste of EPCOT” festivals, starting with the 2020 Taste of EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. The reasoning for this temporary name change was because Guests could only get a taste of what the festival can really offer.

Luckily, this year, as we continue to move forward amid COVID-19, Disney Parks has dropped the “Taste of EPCOT” name and is now calling it EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival once again!

Here is everything you need to know about the 2021 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

In 2021, Walt Disney World is starting the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival on July 15 with its famous Global Marketplaces, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak, merchandise, and more! The event will run through November 20.

Disney Parks Blog shared the following information about the upcoming festival:

Disney Parks Blog writes:

There will be lots of ways for families to enjoy this year’s event (beyond just eating lots of great food, of course):

  • Sample all sorts of delicious cheeses served in fun ways as part of Emile’s Fromage Montage – if you collect a stamp from five different Global Marketplaces, you’ll earn a prize!
  • Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak will send you on a savory scavenger hunt in search of Remy statuettes hidden all over the park.
  • Take a tasty souvenir home from the new merchandise collections, including a festival collection featuring a spirit jersey, baseball cap and so much more.

The 2021 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will begin on July 15 with its famous Global Marketplaces, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak, merchandise, and more! The event will run through November 20.

How much time should you allow for the Disney Food & Wine Festival?

This question is asked by many Guests wanting to visit the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival for the first time, however, this really depends on each Guest, their family, and their priorities. If you are looking to try something from every single food booth, you will have to allow at least two full days in EPCOT, if not more. (There are a lot of food options!)

If you are looking to just pick and choose from the booths and select only a handful of locations to try, half a day in the World Showcase is more than likely plenty of time.

EPCOT will be filled with a variety of food choices, perfect for every palate. Per Disney Parks Blog:

Our festival chefs always focus on authenticity through ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation to honor the diverse cuisines. And our beverage team thoughtfully pairs wine and beer with the selections at each global marketplace, providing a fantastic variety for our guests.

Emile’s Fromage Montage is the perfect way to get your cheese fix if you are a cheese lover like I am! Check your Festival Passport for the five select marketplaces to purchase delicious cheese dishes, collect your stamps, then stroll over to Shimmering Sips marketplace for a special prize!
