Credit: UniversalIf there is one thing that Universal Studios is severely lacking in, it’s space. That is what happens when you decide to build a theme park in one of the most populated places in the country.
Due to that lack of space, there are only so many rides that Universal can fit into the park. Limited rides and high crowds mean high wait times. Even with the incredibly limited space, that has not stopped Universal Hollywood Guests from asking for an expansion.
One of the biggest expansion requests is for Universal to create a larger Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The Universal Orlando Resort has an area for Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios. Universal Hollywood only has Hogsmeade and Hogwarts, but Guests are longing for their own Diagon Alley.
Well, one former Disney Imagineer thinks that he has the solution as he thinks such an expansion can actually happen. Jim Shull shared images and his thoughts on Twitter showing how some rearranging by Universal can allow for Harry Potter to expand at the Hollywood theme park.

The idea seems relatively simple when broken down like that. While nothing is ever as simple as it seems, it does appear that Universal should maybe take this idea and run with it. Shull even provided handy drawings to illustrate just how and where the moves would take place.
Shull then followed up his first tweet with an explanation of how moving the tram area would further benefit the theme park.

Rumors of a Wizarding World expansion at Universal Studios Hollywood have been swirling for years, so it would be nice if Universal actually made that happen.
However, it is important to note that these are just Mr. Shull’s ideas, and he does not work for Universal Studios.
Currently, Universal Hollywood is working on an expansion that will bring Super Mario World to Southern California. A larger version of Super Mario World opened at Universal Studios Japan in March 2021. There is no opening date for Hollywood’s Super Mario World at this time.
