Yesterday, Disney Cruise Line officially set sail for the first time since early 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic caused the Disney Dream, the Disney Magic, the Disney Fantasy, and the Disney Wonder to halt operations.

Although a domestic return to sailing date in the United States has not yet been scheduled — and Disney Cruise Line recently postponed its planned test cruise on the Disney Dream out of Port Canaveral — Disney Magic at Sea cruises have gotten underway in the United Kingdom!
It is important to note that these staycation cruises on the Disney Magic are only open to U.K. residents — cruises with no ports of call are not allowed by law in the United States of America.
Furthermore, Guests who choose to book Magic at Sea itineraries must abide by a variety of pandemic-related health and safety protocols, including practicing social distancing and providing proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

Yesterday was the first time in 479 days since Disney Cruise Line welcomed back their first guests onboard the Disney Magic for 1 of 2 test cruises before we go live on the 15th.
To be part of the reopening team to bring the first ship back in the fleet has been a rollercoaster of emotions to say the least but I’m so freaking pumped to be here and so proud of all the hard work we have put into this over the last 10 weeks!
