The Wave… of American Flavors in Disney’s Contemporary Resort is closing permanently to make way for a new, reimagined dining experience — Debuting just in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary!

The resort’s lobby restaurant, The Wave… of American Flavors, will also soon close to make way for a reimagined dining experience in time for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration.
At this time, we do not have an opening date for the new, reimagined experience, but we do know it will be open in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary. Inside the Magic will update you as we get information.
This is part of the refurbishment of Disney’s Contemporary Resort as a whole. Last year, Disney announced that the Resort would be receiving some exciting room updates, and ever since, we’ve even seen massive tarps covering Guest rooms as construction has been ongoing.

In case you never had the chance to dine at The Wave… of American Flavors, the Disney World website describes it as:
Dine on new American cuisine inspired by a passion for locally and regionally sourced ingredients, accompanied by new world wines and tasty craft beers.
Start your day with a classic a la carte American breakfast such as eggs Benedict or dive into our signature sweet potato pancakes served with pecan-honey butter and a side of sausage or bacon.
At lunch, opt for robust sandwiches, our signature burgers or an assortment of fresh salads.
Dinner offers such distinctive dishes as grilled beef tenderloin and seared potato gnocchi.
Then cap off your meal with crème brûlée and a divine dessert selection.
