Fans Expected to Pay $60,000 For Original Muppet Heads

If you are a fan of The Muppets and have around $60,000 burning a hole in your pocket, today is your lucky day!

The Muppets, created by Jim Henson in the 1950s, continue to hold a place in the heart of many Disney fans, and now with Disney+ showcasing the characters and storylines, younger generations will be able to continue carrying out the cult following that the show and characters have built up over the decades.

When Guests visit Disney World at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, they can enter the world of The Muppets and experience the Muppet*Vision 3D show where characters are not only on screen but in the box seats of the theater as well! Statler and Waldorf are the ultimate hecklers, and during the show, they definitely live up to that name.

Now, Muppet fans can purchase the original Statler and Waldorf puppet heads! Prop Store’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction on Tuesday, June 29, Wednesday, June 30, and Thursday, July 1, will feature a collection of film memorabilia worth over $6.1 million, including the puppet heads of Statler and Waldorf.

The puppet heads are expected to sell for $40,000 – $60,000, which just continues to prove that the popularity for The Muppets is huge. Being able to own the original of anything Disney is often a dream for many fans, so for those who can afford this opportunity, this could be an exceptional purchase.

There will also be “original hand-painted Drew Struzan artwork from The Muppet Movie (1979) is estimated to sell for between $15,000 – 20,000,” and “over 1,300 unique and original items to be made available to bidders in one of the world’s largest live auctions of film and television memorabilia,” according to the official press release.
