The Haunted Mansion is a popular attraction located in Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort (There are also versions located at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland).
The popular dark ride takes Guests through a mansion of haunted characters while riding aboard a Doom Buggy.
The spirited Haunted Mansion adventure will be guided by the “disembodied voice of the Ghost Host” as he is your private tour guide “through the cadaverous realm of an eerie haunted estate, home to ghosts, ghouls and supernatural surprises.” Beware of hitchhiking ghosts!
But did you know that one part of Haunted Mansion actually plays the iconic music… backwards?
The next time you are visiting Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort, make sure to listen closely while in the foyer room in Haunted Mansion and you may notice the music is eerily familiar — and that’s because it is!
According to Haunted Mansion Fandom, the organ music that plays in the background of the foyer room at Disneyland Park (the room right before the stretching room) is actually being played backwards. So even though initially, it may not sound like the iconic Haunted Mansion music, it is — just backwards!
