The Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom is one of the most iconic and popular attractions at Walt Disney World. Filled with grim grinning ghosts, singing busts, wall-to-wall creeps, hot and cold running chills, and of course, the Ghost Host, this Magic Kingdom ride draws in Guest after Guest as they visit the 999 happy haunts.
Now, according to a new permit filed, it looks as though Haunted Mansion will soon receive some construction work.
Disney filed a permit recently for the location of Haunted Mansion inside Magic Kingdom. The permit is to “provide labor, material and/or electrical for construction”. Although not much other information is listed on the permit, it is clear that the Haunted Mansion attraction will receive some type of construction update in the near future. This could be anything from as small as ride or animatronic maintenance to something a bit bigger such as installing new elements.
At this time, Disney World has not listed Haunted Mansion on its ride refurbishment calendar, indicating that whatever construction work the permit has been filed for is more than likely to be a small update to the iconic Disney Parks attraction. Inside the Magic will update you as we get information regarding Haunted Mansion.
