Ever since Disneyland reopened, it has been a hot spot in Orange County for theme park goers. Disney fans are anxiously preparing themselves for Avengers Campus opening in Disney California Adventure on June 4, but in the meantime, they are soaking in all the Disney magic they can, and eating Disney treats like they are going out of style!
But be warned, visiting Disneyland Resort right now may be more crowded than you expect. Even though theme park capacity has reached 35% and Mobile Ordering is available in both Disney Parks, Guests may have to wait a long time before enjoying a Dole Whip or Bourbon Cider.
Long Mobile Order lines
With Disneyland’s Mobile App, Guests are able to order food and beverages in advance in both Disneyland theme parks right on their phone. It’s as easy as selecting your arrival window, ordering food, and paying directly on the app. Once Guests arrive at their selected dining location, Disneyland’s Mobile App will alert them when the order is ready!
This convenient app is very popular in Disneyland (and the same goes for My Disney Experience, Walt Disney World’s official app) as it provides quick service, but lately, that hasn’t been the case. Guests who have been visiting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure recently have shared that Cast Members are trying their best to deliver quick Mobile Order service to Disney Guests but have been extremely overwhelmed as crowds increase.
A Reddit user named u/mjmedstarved stated that they used Mobile Order at Hollywood Lounge and had to wait an hour before receiving the notification that their order was ready. Once they arrived, they waited in a long line as Cast Members did all they could to efficiently provide Guests with quick service. This was the line on Saturday as the Reddit user warned other Disney fans:
2 pm Saturday. “Your order is ready at window 3” Hollywood Lounge
2 pm Saturday. “Your order is ready at window 3” Hollywood Lounge from Disneyland
Disney fan Fresh Baked, better known as @FrshBakedDisney on Twitter, shared the news that once you order on the Mobile App, it will most likely be a 2-hour wait before enjoying your favorite Disney treat. David from Fresh Baked writes:
2 hours presently for a dole whip at tropical hideaway. Intense.

Mobile Order Tip
As Disneyland is preparing to bring back many more Cast Members soon to alleviate these long wait times, it is best to remember to be patient during this time.
One thing to keep in mind is if you’re planning on using the Disneyland Mobile App, we suggest you plan as early as possible in the day and choose to pick up your order further in advance. If you’re craving a Dole Whip, which is a very popular treat in Disneyland, then get to Tropical Hideaway as quickly as you can before enduring a long wait time.
Also to note, this also applies not only on the weekend but on weekdays as well as Disneyland Resort has opened up additional theme park reservations at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks. These long wait times will hopefully change soon as we are sure Disney is doing their best to call back more Cast Members to return to work.
