New Look at Disney's Marvel Hotel - Inside the Magic

It is a good day for Disneyland Paris fans! This morning, we recently announced the opening date for both Disneyland Paris Parks, Disneyland Park, and Walt Disney Studios Park. 

Not only are the parks in Paris, France opening but the highly anticipated Marvel-inspired hotel is opening soon, and we have an inside look and exciting video of the new Disney Hotel New York.

Disney’s Hotel New York, The Art of Marvel!

Marvel fans are in for the stay of their life. Near Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Hotel New York opens to Guests on June 21 and Disney Imagineers are making Marvel superheroes childhood dreams come true today as they take us inside the Resort and show us the finishing touches they are making to the hotel.

Disney’s Hotel New York General Manager Pilar Hamil introduces us to a suite complete with gorgeous artwork displayed on the walls of Spiderman and other Marvel characters inspired by our favorite Marvel Comics. Pilar states,

We are still doing a lot of things in the hallways, in the rooms, in the public areas, in the restaurants, but I just couldn’t wait to show you. So I wanted to invite you in, even though we’re still under construction to give you a sneak peek of what’s going on. 

Set Designer and Disney Imagineer Tom Muller show Guests just how much detail goes into this Marvel universe Resort. He explains how the mix and fusion of the codes between Marvel and The Big Apple will surprise, inspire and give Guests the best comic book experience.

Disney Parks Blog shared that:

471 Superior rooms and 90 Executive rooms – including 25 Suites dedicated to Spider-Man, the Avengers or Marvel Super Heroes – make up epically-appointed, Manhattan-style accommodations that offer four-star service. Those looking to replenish their stores will find New York-inspired noshes and nightcaps at unique restaurants and bar concepts celebrating Marvel art.

This behind the scenes video showcases the entire room including views of high-tech lamps, sleek designs, and costume-inspired beds as Tom Muller states:

And for all those rooms, we actually produced, printed, and framed, over 1400 pieces of art that are actually heading on the walls. 

The DownTown Restaurant

Tom Muller takes us inside this Disney Hotel and up close to Manhattan Restaurant where you will find the most Marvel artwork. This Italian-inspired dining experience starts with showcasing artwork from many amazing Marvel artists. Artwork of Black Panther, Captain America, Black Widow, Spiderman, and comic book fan favorites like She-Hulk, Miss Marvel, The Punisher, Groot, and more invite Guests to celebrate Marvel movies we have all known to love.

This elegant Restaurant features a gorgeous centerpiece that resembles a skyline or even Asgard, the home planet of Thor as Tom shares,

This central piece of this restaurant is a stunning lite sculpture, and it is actually made of 255 elements, and they have been individually made out of hand blown crystal. 

Super Hero Station

Executive Producer Of Disneyland Paris, Julia Zanni-Whiting shows us two separate experiences Guests will enjoy at Super Hero Station. I guarantee it will make you feel like you are a part of Avengers Campus.

Marvel Photo Station where Guests will strike their best Marvel or Superhero pose inside eight different scenes. One of these scenes includes The Collectors Collections from The Guardians of the Galaxy film. Guest will feel a part of Marvel Studios and actually jump inside one of the collector’s glass cases. Just imagine being an actual creature from a far-off galaxy!

The second Super Hero Station experience will be meeting your favorite Marvel Superhero in the flesh! Here we see Julia meeting our favorite New Yorker Spider-Man and snapping a photo and striking a spidey pose!

The hotel experience will take immersive storytelling to heroic heights! Guests can stand alongside a friendly neighborhood favorite for a selfie with Spider-Man at the Heroic Selfie Spot at the Super Hero Station, where there will be photo ops aplenty. Aspiring comic book artists can sharpen their skills at the Marvel Design Studio, while sports enthusiasts can power up at the fitness center, indoor and outdoor Metro Pool, and Hero Training Zone, an outdoor field with dedicated areas for a variety of sports activities for guests of all ages.
