Walt Disney World is getting ready to celebrate 50 “ears” of magic as the Most Magical Place on Earth kicks off on October 1, 2021. And now YOU can be part of this historic celebration as Disney World is now hiring for full-time and part-time positions!

We already know Walt Disney World is continuing to increase its capacity and welcome back more Guests, which means the theme parks are in need of more staff in the parks, at the Resort hotels, at the restaurants. And now, it looks as though Disney is prepping for that!

Whether you are interested in being part of Mousekeeping (AKA housekeeping), a lifeguard, attractions, quick-service, or custodial — Disney World has a position open!

Here are just some of the positions Disney World is currently hiring for as well as the descriptions of the job:

Lifeguard – Part-Time, Walt Disney World

Lifeguards are focused on ensuring the safety of our Guests by enforcing policies, rules, and regulations of Recreation locations while also answering Guest questions. Lifeguards provides guidance to Guests, problem-solving, and work in a cooperative team environment. Lifeguards will maintain the general cleanliness of the pool areas, including removing towels and arranging chairs & tables. Lifeguard Cast Members respond to various incidents and will be trained on Infant, Child and Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to respond to Guest and Cast emergencies.

The new hire will receive paid training to obtain their Lifeguards certification through Ellis and Associates, Inc. The certification training is conducted over three consecutive days.

Lifeguard Hosts and Hostesses receive a starting rate of $14.25/hour for shallow water, and $15.25/hour for deep water.

Housekeeping – Full Time, Walt Disney World

Housekeepers are focused on creating magic for our Guests during their Walt Disney World® Resort stay by ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness & Guest Service. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning Guest rooms, including stripping and making beds, vacuuming, dusting and replenishing items such as linens and amenities. Housekeepers will monitor work orders, use a SmartPhone device to respond to Guest requests, and report maintenance needs.

Disney World 50th Anniversary

In October 2021, Disney World is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort! In case you aren’t familiar, on October 1, 1971, Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World opened to the public, and ever since families around the globe have visited just to get a glimpse of Cinderella Castle.

Known as “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” Disney World will begin its anniversary festivities on October 1, 2021, to commemorate exactly 50 years since Magic Kingdom first opened its gates in 1971. For more information on the 50th anniversary, visit our website here.
