The Disney Cruise Line has a new ship joining the fleet that has fans of DCL asking a big question. How much will it cost to take a cruise on the Disney Wish?
Let’s see if we can dig into the numbers and find out how much it could cost to sail on the Disney Wish!
While Disney has not yet announced concrete pricing, we can compare the pricing to other ships in the Disney fleet who sail a similar itinerary and try to decipher how much you can anticipate shelling out for a chance to sail on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship.
Where is the Disney Wish sailing?
The Disney Wish will have its maiden voyage on June 9, 2022. Disney has announced that the Disney Wish will be sailing three and four-night cruises to the Bahamas and a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
In addition, we know that Disney Wish‘s second voyage will be for DVC Members. It is unknown at this time if other Guests will be able to purchase this sailing if they are not a part of the Disney Vacation Club, but so far this itinerary is really geared toward Disney Vacation Club Members.
Now let’s look at what Disney Cruise Line typically charges for a three or four-night cruise to the Bahamas. Thanks to the Disney Cruise Line blog we have some information on three-night Bahama cruises on the Disney Dream, which is leaving from Port Canaveral in 2022 — the same port that the Disney Wish will use.
For a vacation for two adults, an interior stateroom on the Disney Dream for a three-night Bahama cruise on the Disney Dream leaving from Port Canaveral in 2022 would set you back $1,500-$2,000. Knowing that the Disney Wish will be a brand new ship to the DCL fleet and offer many more amenities, it is likely Disney will charge more for passengers to cruise on their latest ship. Without any confirmation from Disney as of yet, it is still safe to say an interior stateroom on the Disney Wish could start at $2,000, if not more, in our estimation.
That would just be for an interior stateroom, so prices will only go up from there! Most rooms on the Disney Wish will have an ocean view or a verandah, which can cost over $2,000 for a three or four-night cruise for two adults on the Disney Dream. As mentioned, the Disney Wish staterooms will be brand new and the ship will include even more amenities, so we suspected it would be likely that the Disney Wish rooms could be much more expensive.
There is even a two-story Princess Aurora suite on board and we can only imagine how much that will cost!
Now, since publishing this article, more information has been released! We now know the starting prices for two Guests aboard the Disney Wish. Keep in mind that prices are subject to change and more information will be revealed in the coming weeks.
According to the official Disney Cruise Line website, the Disney Wish Maiden Voyage: 5-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral starts at the following prices:
- Inside Stateroom: $5,769
- Oceanview Stateroom: $5,969
- Verandah Stareroom: $6,369
- Concierge Level Stateroom: $9,439
General pricing information was also released. If you are traveling with two Guests and you want an Oceanview or Verandah room, you will probably be paying somewhere in the $3,000-4,000 range, on average, but prices can be much lower or much higher depending on the itinerary you select and the dates you choose. There are been some itineraries that offer Inside Staterooms for under $3,000 for two Guests. Click here to view all pricing details on the official Disney Cruise Line website.
We will just have to wait and see when the other Disney Cruise Line ships will begin sailing again!
