The famous raptor, Blue, from the Jurassic World films appeared to be having a great time greeting Guests on the official reopening day of Universal Studios Hollywood.
It was so exciting to see this character interaction on the reopening day of Universal Studios Hollywood.

The lower lot of Universal Studios Hollywood is home to Jurassic World – The Ride, and the Raptor Encounter. While Jurassic World – The Ride received some serious upgrades including new animatronics during the park’s year-long closure due to the pandemic — Fans were just as excited to meet Blue at the Raptor Encounter as they were to ride the updated attraction.
Here you can see Blue greeting people at her meet and greet spot at the Raptor Encounter attraction. Guests were standing over six feet away from Blue and kept masks on for photos per Universal Studios Hollywood’s safety guidelines in place for the safe reopening of the theme park. You can read Unviersal’s full safety guidelines here.

What is the Raptor Encounter attraction? Raptor Encounter allows Guests to meet and have photos taken with Blue in an immersive and interactive way! It is loads of fun and a must-do for those visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. This experience can also be found at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in the Jurassic Park-themed land inside the theme park.
Universal describes the Raptor Encounter attraction as:
Dare to come face-to-face with Blue, the most beloved Velociraptor from the Jurassic World franchise. And meet the newest additions to the Raptor Encounter: a big, friendly Triceratops and the debut of our Baby Raptor!
Here are a few clips of Blue roaring with Guests! Blue is amazing, but the Team Members who are Blue’s “Handlers” really engage with Guests and bring this character interaction to the next level.
WOW! We love Blue!
We cannot wait to see how Universal Orlando Resort incorporates Blue into the brand new Jurassic World VelociCoaster that is opening June 10 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
