When you watch a Disneyland commercial, there is almost always a child on display having the time of their lives. A lot of the time, you will see that child dressed as Cinderella, Belle, or any of the Disney princesses. That transformation, as many know, occurs at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which is a child one-stop-shop to have a royal makeover and their own fairy godmother.
Although on the pricey end, at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, kids can feel like they are one of their favorite Disney characters, get sprinkled with pixie dust, and really feel the magic of Disney.
However, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will not be opening with the rest of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. As stated on the Disneyland website:
The following experiences are currently unavailable:
Transformational experiences at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park will remain closed upon reopening. You can still find the perfect royal attire & accessories at the location.

The news of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique remaining closed is not too much of a shock, considering all three Disney World locations (Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort) are currently closed as well and have been since the start of the pandemic.
Although Guests and Cast Members wear masks when in the parks, the experience at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a high-touch one that requires the Cast Member to be touching both the hair and face of the Guests undergoing the makeover. Of course, doing so would not be socially distant, which is likely why the offering has remained closed for so long over at the east coast Disney parks.
That being said, Guests can still purchase all of the necessary tools to make their little princess or pirate feel like they are also a character who belongs in Disneyland.
