If Orlando area salons can be open, why has the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique not currently operating?
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic happening globally, the Walt Disney Company has had to make some major changes. From Cast Member layoffs to restructuring the company in order to focus on their new streaming platform Disney+, the changes keep coming.
But, if you are a fan of the Disney theme parks and resorts specifically you might have noticed some very drastic changes to your favorite vacation destination. Specifically Disney World.
At Disney World, many offerings are still available to Guests who are choosing to visit the resort during the ongoing pandemic. And, Disney has been committed to following strict health and safety guidelines in order to keep Cast Members and Guests safe! Disney World takes this so seriously that they even kick Guests out of their parks who refuse to comply with their safety measures.
One offering that has yet to return is the much-beloved Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique transforms you into a princess or a prince and while it is aimed at children they do also offer makeover services for adults. But why has it not reopened? Currently, Florida is in Phase 3 of its reopening plan titled Florida’s Recovery Plan. That means that salons can be operating at this time.
Disney is presumably being extremely cautious during its phased reopening of the Walt Disney World theme park, but we suspect it won’t be long until the doors to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique are opened again.
Recently, we reported on new construction permits that were filed for the Disney Springs location of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. These permits COULD have been for the addition of plexiglass as we have seen Disney adding more and more plexiglass around the resort. But we cannot be sure until Disney gives an official announcement as to what they are doing at the Disney Springs Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique location.
Disney is currently not accepting reservations for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at this time, and have not set a reopening date for the experience.
Hopefully, fans of the experience will get a reopening date from Disney soon, and those Fairy Godmothers in Training can get back to creating magical transformations!
Do you think Disney could reopen Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney World soon? Let us know in the comments!
