If you have been following the Disney Availability Calendar during spring break, you likely know that Disney Park Passes have been flying! But just as you may see multiple days light up in grey on the calendar, Disney Annual Passholders have green availability for a majority of those days!

As we have previously reported, April has been looking like a great month for Annual Passholders to visit Disney World. As we can see below, April is pretty packed for regular Guests who would be purchasing a ticket.

But for Annual Passholders, the availability is far more open.

That being said, even if we take a look at March, which is full for Resort and Theme Park Ticket Guests, there is still availability for Annual Passholders as seen below.

It seems that during the holidays, as more out-of-town Guests come to vacation at Disney World, the Disney Park Passes move quicker for those Guests than Annual Passholders. Passholders are often local to Florida, so booking Park Passes weeks in advance is not as likely as someone visiting from out of state, or out of the country. Because of this, Annual Passholders do not book up their Disney Park Pass reservations as fast and can get last-minute entry into Disney theme parks.

As we know, Disney World is currently at a 35% capacity, so if this trend keeps up, it would be interesting to see if Annual Passholders continue to have Disney Park Pass availability for longer than other ticketed Guests. And since Annual Passes are still unable to be purchased, only renewed, the number of Annual Passholders can only decrease at the moment, which will only allow for more availability in the Annual Pass category. With Park Passes being the “new normal”, it seems that Annual Passholders may have a better shot at those last-minute passes when others are planning holiday vacations.
