Universal’s latest attraction the VelociCoaster is inching closer and closer to its grand opening each day. While Universal has not set an exact date for the opening of VelociCoaster, today we were excited to see people taking a ride of the VelociCoaster for the first time as testing continues!
This exciting new thrill ride is located at Universal Orlando Resort’s Islands of Adventure and is the first Jurassic World based attraction in the Jurassic Park land in the theme park.
Thanks to Orlando Informer on Facebook, we can see pictures of riders on the VelociCoaster! The Guests were wearing masks and we anticipate the attraction to require mask compliance while riding, just as the other Universal attractions do.
Here is a look at the riders on the VelociCoaster:
Step aside, test dummies – VelociCoaster is now testing with real-life riders. 😎🦖 There’s no soft opening at the moment, and the attraction opens this summer.
The riders were dispersed across the entire rollercoaster train car, we assume as part of the ongoing testing for the VelociCoaster. Most of the seats in the middle of the train car are empty, but the front and back have riders scattered. There is word on if these testers are employees of Universal or Guests of the park.
In addition to the VelociCoaster testing with riders during the day, we have seen the coaster running without guests at night. The lighting effects on the VelociCoaster have us very exciting to ride this new attraction at night as we anticipate the intense lights will add to the thrilling nature of the rollercoaster. With all of the testing going on for the VelociCoaster we hope that we get an opening date announcement soon. We will continue to update you with the latest VelociCoaster news so subscribe to our newsletter below to be kept in the loop!
