Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration is around the corner with 2021 approaching, and Guests are excited for the new offerings in store! One new offering will be the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel experience. The immersive 2-night, 3-day adventure in the Halcyon luxury starliner has been deemed a “priority project” by Disney, so that it can indeed be ready for The Most Magical Celebration on Earth.
If there is one thing we know about the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel, it’s that it will be an immersive experience like no other. As Disney’s Imagineering team continues to expand on the goal of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — helping Guests experience their own Star Wars stories — the Halcyon will elevate that to a new level.
Guests will live through a pre-planned storyline that includes a “port excursion” to Batuu — and both of its attractions, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run.
One way the Starcruiser will control the narrative is by ensuring that no one can see into the hotel. Thanks to Twitter user bioreconstruct, we can see that the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel experience has put up more beams that will act as guided structure support and fence for the forest of trees Disney will be implementing in order to make sure the hotel is out of sight to all. It truly will feel like you are in a galaxy far, far away when you are at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.

From what we know so far about what characters will appear on the ship, we can assume that we will run into Chewbacca and stormtroopers from concept art. We also theorized that since your Halycon ship will port on Batuu, both the stormtroopers and the existing storyline of Rise of the Resistance could be used to help the Halcyon’s storyline progress without deviating from the existing backstory of Outer Rim planet, Batuu.
With Star Wars being on everyone’s mind lately after Season 2 of The Mandalorian wrapped up on Disney+, and many more spin-off series in the works, a Starcruiser hotel booking will likely be a very hot commodity. Stay tuned to Inside the Magic as we keep you updated on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel experience.
