The movie star and TV personality shared the announcement in a tweet, saying:
“Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified and I am following all proper CDC guidelines. I’ll see you all again after the holidays. Please be safe.”

DeGeneres is now the latest celebrity with strong associations with Disney to contract the coronavirus, bring to life the lovable and forgetful Blue Tang Dory in both Disney-Pixar’s Finding Nemo, and Finding Dory.
We at Inside the Magic reported earlier this year that Tom Hanks–famous for playing, among other roles, Woody from Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story franchise and Walt Disney in Saving Mr. Banks–was one of the first celebrities to contract the disease back in March of this year. He was followed by Disney stars Dwayne Johnson (Moana, Race to Witch Mountain, The Game Plan), and Idris Elba (Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, Zootopia).
All have recovered smoothly and we hope the same for Ellen and all who find themselves battling this disease.
