Idris Elba tests positive for coronavirus

Another Hollywood treasure has come down with the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19. Idris Elba. The prolific actor shared his diagnosis on Twitter, saying:

“This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”

He tweeted a video of himself sharing the news to his followers. He made a point to mention that he was not showing any symptoms and staying strong. People should be reminded that there are infected people who aren’t showing symptoms, which is why social distancing is so important right now. Elba went on to remind his followers “this is serious” and that now is the time we need transparency more than ever. He told his family and his colleagues the news and he is now in self-isolation.
