It appears that Disney has announced the refurbishment schedule for several Disney Vacation Club locations across the property due to begin in 2021.
DVCNews.com reports that Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will all receive smaller-scaled “refreshes” referred to as “soft goods” refurbishments which will focus on resort aspects like wall coverings, floor coverings, linens, and decor. Disney’s Beach Club Villas are also expected to receive such treatment in Spring, 2022.
There are no full-scale refurbishments currently planned for 2021, but come 2022, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will both undergo such projects.
No concept art of the refurbishment results has been shared yet.
It should also be mentioned that the refurbishment projects for both Boulder Ridge and Aulani were planned for 2020. However, they were among the many projects pushed back due to COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Poly refresh was pushed up from its original 2022 start date, possibly due to a desire to knock it out while the rest of the resort remains closed due to its ongoing revamp.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort is currently undergoing its own refurbishment, and that is expected to be completed in 2021.
