Don’t tell Donald, but the pesky chipmunks are back! Inside the Magic was Christmas shopping around Downtown Disney’s World of Disney store and spotted these Chip and Dale Nutcrackers for sale again! Previously featured in 2017 and 2019 — and now back for 2020 — these classic nutcrackers get a Disney spin as the mischievous chipmunks, Chip and Dale.
Chip and Dale Nutcrackers
Evoking their classic animation styles, the chipmunks stand upon sliced wood platforms with their signatures engraved. Chip and Dale hold acorn nuts and wear fabric scarves that can be gently restyled to your decoration preferences.
What’s amusing is to see Chip holding his single acorn and the comic Dale nutcracker scrambling with an armful, staying true to his character. If you notice their little chins, those are the openings operated by the classic nutcracker levers on the back.
Sadly, you won’t find these Disney critters online. They have only been seen on property at Disney locations with a price point of around $55. If you are an Annual Passholder, be sure to present your card at the checkout counter for your discount! That really adds up with higher-end merchandise across the Disney Resorts. You may be able to find these nestled among the holiday decor in Magic Kingdom’s Emporium, too, although we have not yet seen them there ourselves!
Did you not bring a big enough suitcase? No worries, Disney has you covered. Just mention to the Cast Member at the register that you would like to ship your items home. The small cost of the shipping is far less than carrying the items to the UPS store. It’s so economical! Plus, these little guys come packaged to make the trip. Styrofoam “hats” and boxes surround your Chip and Dale Nutcrackers until they can be on display atop your holiday season mantle.
