Construction of EPCOT’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has been well underway for a while now. And although the construction was delayed because of park closure due to the global pandemic, it seems as if it hasn’t slowed down progress at all!

The new World Discovery attraction now has given us a first look at the newest thrill attraction’s ride vehicles! Trust us, they are epic! Better yet, check them out for yourself!

Here is an exclusive sneak peek of two of our ride engineers as they prep some of EPCOT’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind vehicles at our warehouse in Florida. If you look closely at the colorful paint design on the vehicles (called coaches in roller coaster engineering parlance), each one is unique with different wear patterns and impact marks. Imagineers were inspired by markings that appear on NASA Space Shuttles and other spacecraft upon reentry into Earth’s atmosphere. We can’t wait to share more on this truly out-of-this-world, awesome attraction as we make progress on construction and put these coaches on the track!
It will be great to see how this attraction reflects the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Just by the look of the ride vehicles themselves, it seems Guests will feel transported to another galaxy!
We already know that the theming of Guardians of the Galaxy holds up at Disney California Adventure Park with their Mission Breakout attraction.
