Furloughs and layoffs have hit Walt Disney Company employees hard this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In September, Disney laid off 28,000 theme park workers from both Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
Approximately 10,000 of those layoffs were at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Thousands of other Disneyland Cast Members have furloughed for months, as it became clear that the theme park will not be reopening anytime soon due to California Governor Gavin Newsom’s stringent reopening guidelines.
Tonight, however, there is some good news for certain furloughed Disneyland Cast Members!

Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park is set to partially reopen for holiday shopping and dining on Thursday, November 19.
Previously, over 200 Local 50 workers had been recalled to work at the Disney Resort to staff the reopening, which is officially operating as an extension of the Downtown Disney District’s retail and restaurant options.
Are you glad to see additional Disneyland workers going back to work for the time being?
