Due to the high demand for magic in Southern California, Disney fans are flocking to Disneyland Resort in order to visit the newly reopened Buena Vista Street inside Disney California Adventure. Knowing this, Disney is warning Guests of capacity restrictions ahead of their visit.

The Disneyland app is the go-to spot for all of the latest information on Disneyland Resort operations. And so, with capacity limitations (25%) currently in place on the California Disney property, Disney is warning Guests of these restrictions before they even arrive at Downtown Disney (and, by extension, Buena Vista Street).

Today, the day after the official reopening of Buena Vista Street in DCA, Disney is sharing a pop-up message with all Disneyland app users so that they are aware of the current operations. The message states that Disneyland Resort will need to occasionally pause parking at the Simba lot as well as entrance into Downtown Disney (and Buena Vista Street, which is only accessible through Downtown Disney). Guests are reminded that they should allow extra time for their arrival.

These warnings are not unlike those previously sent out through the Disneyland Today account on Twitter. Only now, Disney has moved all notifications of operations to the Disneyland app. This is much more streamlined and accessible.

Disney also provides the following information on the Disneyland app (as well as the Disneyland Resort official website):

As part of these efforts, Guests may see other changes to our retail and dining offerings, as well as other experiences. Though it will be a bit different from the last time you visited, these new measures are designed to continue to offer a magical Disney experience.

To help guide you through these new measures, we will have Cast Members from our Guest Experience Team walking throughout the Downtown Disney District to help explain our new health and safety measures and answer any questions you may have. They, along with other Downtown Disney District Cast Members, will also be on hand to encourage everyone to follow these measures for the health and safety of us all.

We understand that these times are challenging, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate through this reopening process. Together, we can find new ways to have fun while being diligent to maintain proper physical distancing.

We hope everyone planning to visit Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney has a magical visit and abides by all health and safety measures currently in place.
