Great news for Disneyland Resort Guests! Beginning tomorrow, the Disneyland app has a massive new update. The app will allow users to chat with a Disney representative who can answer any and all of their questions pertaining to their Downtown Disney visit, including operational updates and more.
@DisneylandToday announced on Twitter that the Disneyland app will be the new place for all operational updates for Downtown Disney. That means that parking updates will no longer be on the Disneyland Today Twitter account and will instead be moved to the Disneyland app.
The Disneyland app is where it’s at! Operational updates for #DowntownDisney are moving to the app. You can now chat with us in the app or check Disneyland.com for the latest details before your visit.

Disneyland officials confirmed with Inside the Magic that the Disneyland app is truly the hub for all Disneyland-related updates and details that Guests will need for their day at Downtown Disney (and, of course, their day at Disneyland and Disney California adventure when the parks reopen their gates).
Disney also confirmed that Guests should have the latest version of the app downloaded onto their mobile device before visiting, with location services and notifications enabled. This will ensure that you get the most out of the app while you’re on Disneyland Resort property!
As of this weekend, the Disneyland app includes plenty of information about what you should “Know Before You Go” to the Disneyland Resort, including health and safety measures in place at Downtown Disney (like hand sanitizer locations!), hours of operation, dining reservations, in-app chat, and so much more. The mobile order feature will especially come in handy at Smokejumper’s Grill when Buena Vista Street reopens at DCA!
Being a Disneyland local, I’m thrilled to see these updates come to the app. It’s easier than ever before to get the information I need before spending some time at Downtown Disney. And with all of the health and safety measures in place at Disneyland Resort, it looks as though the app will continue to be a great tool to use after Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reopen.
