California’s Disneyland park has been making gradual strides towards reopening after being closed for months. The Resort had a phased reopening of their Downtown Disney District in July and offered some outdoor dining experiences.
As things have developed, now the district is able to have indoor dining as long as health and safety protocol is being followed. Now with the theme park reopening seemingly on the horizon, how will dining experiences differ when the park does open?
According to the OC Register and Disney Officials, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will be strongly encouraging guests to mobile order their snacks and meals via the Mobile Ordering system. Both theme parks are planning to expand the Mobile Ordering options across more quick service dining locations to help with over-crowding and help maintain social distancing efforts and health and safety measures.
When using the Disneyland Mobile App in the parks, guests will be able to locate and navigate which dining locations are available for Mobile Order. Guests will be able to pre-order food and pick up right when their order is ready.
The Disneyland Mobile App is even expanding their payment options. Once Disneyland reopens, guests will be able use credit cards, Apple Pay, and Disney Gift Cards. In addition, the minimum age for Mobile Order has been lowered from 18 to 13 years of age.
So far we know of only a couple of new Mobile Order accessible locations for when the parks reopen. The Tropical Hideaway located in Adventureland at Disneyland will now offer Mobile Order. Also, the Studio Catering Co. located in Disney California Adventure Park will also offer the convenient order and pick up service.
Other than these 2 locations, we have not heard of what other quick service dining locations will implement mobile ordering. However, stay tuned and we will keep you updated on the latest when it comes to Disneyland’s upcoming reopening!
