Josh D’Amaro Comforts Cast Members at Disney World

Today, Chairman of Disney Parks Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro was spotted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World apologizing and consoling Cast Members following the announcement of 28,000 Cast Member Layoffs.

@disneydude_71 posted to a socially-distanced selfie with D’Amaro to his Instagram saying,

Great seeing the chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and products @joshdamaro walking around Walt Disney World telling every CM he sees and apologizing what they are going thought and stay positive!

@livingbydisney, who is also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, shared on her story that she saw D’Amaro as well saying that he was “a man on a mission” to talk to every single Cast Member he could find and noticing that he was such a nice guy.

Yesterday, October 5, D’Amaro was also spotted visiting and making his rounds at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Cast Member @awishonastar shares a pic to her Instagram, saying:

I just get off work. . Go over to magic kingdom quick. I am a sweaty mess. And run into someone who is very dear to cast members. Josh D’Amaro is such an amazing person, so sweet and came back over just to hear me thank him profusely and take a picture with him. Literally sobbing. I am so grateful and hope I can see him again, only this time with my name tag on again. Thank you for wishing me luck, and thank you for how you treat the cast members. You are such a gem.

Cast Member @hipster_pedro also shared a picture with D’Amaro at Disney’s Animal Kingdom saying,

“Meeting @joshdamaro The President of Disney and My Boss today. This meant the World to me.”

D’Amaro visits the Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort after visited the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, apologizing and consoling Cast Members there. Known for putting Cast Members first, Former President of the Disneyland Resort, and the Walt Disney World Resort, the new Disney Parks Chairman continues to show his love and support for Disney Cast Members, doing what he can in this difficult time.
