More details regarding the Disney Parks layoffs continue to come to light. And now, the Cast Member Pantry is expanding to the West Coast to help the Disneyland Resort workers in need.
Around 28,000 Cast Members across Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort are being laid off. And thousands of workers are still on furlough, even as the theme parks of the Disneyland Resort remain closed. To help the magic makers who need more than a little pixie dust, Walt Disney World Cast Member Emily Lartigue started Cast Member Pantry after she was furloughed.
Since the Cast Member Pantry began this spring, it has gained an abundance of media attention. Even the voice of Olaf Josh Gad has made a donation!
Now, the Cast Member Pantry is expanding to California so the Cast Members of the Disneyland Resort can also receive assistance during this tumultuous time.
Click here to fill out a survey so you can receive aid through the Cast Member Pantry. Note that the survey is written in both English and Spanish.
Disney Park Cast Members who fill out the survey are required to acknowledge that they “understand this registration is for Cast Members on the West Coast (Disneyland, etc) and NOT Florida.” Each Disney employee is also required to share the following:
- Name
- Number of people in their household
- Whether they have children under the age of 3
- Whether or not they have pets
- Email address
- Phone number
- Employment status (furloughed, laid-off, part-time, or full-time)
- A photo of their company-issued ID
- Address and other details pertaining to grocery delivery
